Windows 11 Bypass Internet Requirement
Windows 11 Bypass Internet (Using Command Prompt)
During the initial setup & installation of Windows 11, it will prompt you to set up an internet connection- it will not allow you to bypass the internet setup, forcing you to then create or sign into a Microsoft account. It cannot be skipped & you cannot proceed.
However, there is a work around utilizing a command prompt to create the skip. This is completely safe to use & will not mess with the functionality of the machine.
- During setup, navigate through the prompts until you get to the network connection prompt.
- Open a command prompt.
- Shift + F10 (to open a cmd prompt)
- The command prompt box should pop up. Enter this command as follows…
- start ms-cxh:localonly (then press enter)
- You should get a pop-up to create a local account.
- Enter a username for the account, either “Admin”, “Owner”, or the customer’s first name will work.
- Leave the password fields blank.
- Click Next.
- Continue with the rest of the Windows Setup.
Doing this will also prevent you from needing to create or setup a Microsoft account, as well as a PIN or password.
